Following the release of its earth-toned hunter’s vests, Engineered Garments is back, this time collaborating with Baracuta, one of the originators of the harrington jacket whose heritage stretches all the way back to the early ’30s. This particular rendition of the iconic G9 has been covered with faux fur, adding volume and a layer of warmth that puts a unique spin on the original silhouette.
Colored in a bold leopard pattern, the jacket sees a two-way central zipper, two buttons at the raised collar, a ribbed hem and two flap pockets. Nodding to the design cues of the G9, the piece sees a slightly high-waisted cut with a boxy build and raglan sleeves. Baracuta’s “B” logo is embossed on the silver-toned zipper, while two snap buttons are placed at the pockets. As a finishing touch, the inner lining boasts a bright red tartan pattern, accented with green and white checks, as well as an inner pocket for extra storage.
The Engineered Garments x Baracuta Faux Fur G9 is currently available at nepenthes.shop-pro.jp for $890 USD.
