According to reports, Legendary Entertainment is already working on developing a Detective Pikachu sequel.

Ahead of the release of the highly anticipated theatrical release, the media company recently brought on screenwriter Oren Uziel to pen a script for the sequel. Uziel is best known for his work on Men in Black: International, 22 Jump Street and the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog adaptation from Paramount Pictures. Although no official statement have been made, it is assumed that Ryan Reynolds will reprise the role of Detective Pikachu.
