KUON Revisits Signature Patchwork Influence for SS19
And stamps a unisex presence with its latest collection.
KUON has released its Spring/Summer 2019 lookbook, presenting its customary range of casual yet refined staples that fuse together Japanese and American aesthetics. The Tokyo-based label’s hallmark use of boro, a category of tattered and vintage textiles that was derived in Japan, casts a vintage and timeworn quality throughout the collection. With its latest display, KUON has also incorporated male and female models, signifying its presence as a unisex brand.
Patchwork and denim elements return as central themes across various silhouettes, including standout outerwear such as a loose-fitting blazer and its oversized denim counterpart. Printed suits, whether with long pants or shorts, are another recurring idea for spring and offered this season in neutral color combinations such as white and black and navy and gray. The jackets encompass both lightweight nylon styles and heftier leather options.
In other fashion news, Norse Projects recently released its own line of lightweight nylon jackets in its latest capsule collection.
