Fledgling perfume label Frog Skin recently released its latest scent expression dedicated to the art of tattoo.

Named simple “9,” the perfume is comprised of two bottles developed around the aromatic sensations of a tattoo session. The first fragrance, “Transfer,” references the alcohol tinge of the sanitizer used to sterilize and prep the skin. While “Black Ink” was crafted to have a matte ink look and features the aroma of ink and prepared skin. When used in unison an olfactory expression of a full-scale tattoo session is achieved.

Limited to 30 pieces, the packaging of “9” was created by tattoo artist Herman IX and replicates the metal, packing paper, sterile seals associated with tattooing. The unpackaging process offers users a look into the methodic ritual behind every tattoo.

Frog Skin “9” perfume dedicated to the art of tattooing is available now at BELIEF Moscow, Renegade and Cosmotheca.

In case you missed it, Le Labo’s new Verveine 32 candle is an aromatic harmony of luscious florals and woods.
