Aimé Leon Dore is poised to make more major moves in 2019. Along with its usual seasonal releases, the New York-based brand is poised to relocate, swapping its current address on Mott Street in favor of a permanent flagship — address currently unreleased. To celebrate the new store and honor the former location, ALD will launch a T-shirt emblazoned with a commemorative graphic, showcasing an illustrative representation of its Mott Street storefront. To further excite fans, Aimé founder Teddy Santis showcased a new Suicoke collaboration on his personal Instagram, a unique boot-like shape that offers cozy textiles and tasteful hues in line with the previous collaborative drop.
The Mott Street shirt is currently available on Aimé Leon Dore’s website. Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming Suicoke collaboration.
Elsewhere in New York, Bang Bang Tattoo opened a futuristic new studio.

When we first signed the lease on Mott in December 2015, ALD was in its infancy, still an idea more than a brand. We walked into a fucked up, barebones space on the edge of Nolita and challenged ourselves. Three years later and still on the original month-to-month lease, we feel tremendous pride in what the space has become and what it has represented for ALD as a whole. Mott was never meant to be permanent; it evolved together with the brand and helped bring many of its ideas and visions to life. Next month, ALD will be opening its first flagship at a new location, a space that will give more meaning to what ALD already represents. As a homage to Mott, we’ve released a limited graphic tee depicting the storefront as we will forever remember it. Thank you for three years of beautiful memories.
