Tkay Maidza Teams Up With Killer Mike For "Carry On"
A fiery new anthem from the upcoming Australian rave rapper.

After a string of popular standalone singles – including the Baauer, What So Not, and George Maple-produced “Ghost” – Tkay Maidza is gearing up for the release of her long-awaited debut album, TKAY. The rising Australian rave rapper’s lead single is “Carry On,” a punchy anthem of self-assurance that includes a killer verse from none other than Killer Mike, one half of Run the Jewels. “[Carry On] is kind of about me going through troubles and he acts as a big brother, which is really cool,” Maidza explained to Australian radio station triple j. ”I just meet a lot of new people and you just see a lot more things, which can be really cool but at the same time it’s really overwhelming… so, the song is me saying ‘there’s so many people coming round trying to steal something from me but I just want to have fun’.” TKAY is set for an October 28 release.
