Sandro Homme Reflects on '90s Hip Hop, Launches Helly Hansen Capsule for FW18
Dropping at the Sandro SoHo pop-up on September 20.

Sandro Homme is slated to release a collaborative capsule with Helly Hansen for Fall/Winter 2018. Known for its performance weather-resistant products developed over its 140-year history, Helly’s iconic hip-hop-associated look through the ’90s has been adapted for the Parisian imprint’s latest collection.
Reflecting on the acts like Wu-Tang and Redman, the resultant offering melds heritage design with an urban minimalist aesthetic that is part functional and part street. Outerwear pieces are made available in tartan, camel, navy or black and are reversible to expose either a waterproof nylon print or a plunged lambskin lining. Tops like sweatshirts and tees feature navy, red, white or mottled grey coloring and are emblazoned with graphic embellishments that represent Norway and the tenements of rap. Accessories are explored too, as the label brings black grained leather to a duffel bag that is accented with silver hardware and a Helly Hansen logo.
For more information on the brand, head to Sandro Homme’s website. Also, if you are in New York on September 20, head here to RSVP for the event at the Sandro SoHo pop-up at 79 Greene Street with a performance by French Rapper Jazzy Bazz.
