Marvel Adds Third Round of Hip-Hop Variant Covers
Including Ice Cube’s ‘Death Certificate,’ Diggable Planets’ ‘Blowout Comb,’ Method Man’s ‘Tiscal’ and Snoop Dogg’s ‘Doggystyle.’
Marvel is back with a third installment to their hip-hop variant album covers. This time, Ice Cube‘s Death Certificate, Diggable Planets’ Blowout Comb, Method Man‘s Tiscal and Snoop Dogg‘s Doggystyle have been redone in a comic book-style by Tim Bradstreet, Javier Pulido, Mike Del Mundo and Juan Doe. Entertainment Weekly has been given an exclusive look at the artwork along with a statement from Editor-In-Chief of Marvel Comics Axel Alonso, “From West Coast ‘G Thang’ to East Coast Wu — this week, we pay tribute to a wide range of musical styles and four of the most iconic album covers ever.”
