The Kelela collaborator & Night Slugs family member is back.
Just under nine months after the release of his acclaimed EP Earthly Versions, Jam City (Jack Latham) has returned with a powerful nine-track mixtape called Trouble. The collection sees the Kelela collaborator and Night Slugs family member traverse elements of grimy club music, off-kilter electronica and punchy post-punk.
Like his previous work, Trouble explores troubling political issues of our time, including the Brexit vote, Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, and the rise of far right parties around Europe. The artwork – which includes a stark monochrome photo of Latham alongside the words ‘From Bad To Worse’ – cements the overtly political message behind Trouble.
