The Leica Stammbaum Just Sold for $475,000 USD
A history of the Leica camera.


Formerly part of the Leica Sölms factory museum, the Leica Stammbaum, a family tree of the Leica company, was recently placed up for auction at Christie’s in London. Sold at a hammer price of £300,000 GBP including 20% buyer’s premium £360,000 GBP ($475,000 USD), the Leica Stammbaum features 107 principle models ranging from pre-production models, the screw-fit Leica series, M-series, R-series and digital models displaying the history of the optics manufacturer.
