This HoverGlide Backpack Feels Weightless During Movement
The floating backpack.
16 years ago, Biology professor Dr. Lawrence Rome set out to decrease the strain caused by backpacks. And in 2002 he would establish Lightning Packs, LLC. To help the soldiers and first responders to run while carrying heavy loads, they have now created the HoverGlide — or the “floating backpack.” Using elastic bands in his patented Suspended Load Technology (SLT), the backpack rig mimics our own muscular system. Reduce up to 86% of the impact felt while running or walking.
The kickstarter campaign is currently live, and has already raised $196,231, which shatters the initial $75,000 goal. Check out the video above to see a full breakdown of the technology.
