A$AP Rocky Doesn't Need a GRAMMY, He's Got One on BitTorrent
“They don’t give out gold records no more nowadays. Nowadays, you get this: a gold mp3.”

A GRAMMY award is arguably the highest non-monetary form of honor you can receive in the music industry and many artists, especially pop stars; work and fight hard yearly to make sure they get their hands on one. A$AP Rocky feels a slightly different type of way about them. In an interview with TV journalist Scott Aukerman, Rocky talks about the extinction of gold records, saying: “They don’t give out gold records no more nowadays. Nowadays, you get this: a gold MP3. Instead of hanging it on my wall, I just plug into my computer and drag it right onto my hard drive.” He then shares that he is not bothered by the fact that he hasn’t won any GRAMMYs because he’s already downloaded a bunch via BitTorrent.
