While Niykee Heaton built her reputation primarily off her covers and looks, she’s really been grinding this year when it comes to her original solo efforts. A couple months after hitting us with the sinister, moody “NBK,” Heaton returns with a new single dubbed “21 Grams.” The song is a more pop-leaning offering from the up-and-coming songstress, who eschews the darker aesthetic and aggression of “NBK” for something a bit more traditional and mainstream-friendly. The song is produced by Travis Margis, a Los Angeles songwriter, producer and engineer responsible for songs from artists such as Sean Kingston. You can listen to “21 Grams” above.
