The Original Voice of Solid Snake Returns for the 31st Anniversary of 'Metal Gear'
Celebrating Hideo Kojima’s vision.
To celebrate the 31st Anniversary of Hideo Kojima and Konami‘s Metal Gear, the original voice actor of Solid Snake returns for a touching tribute to the iconic video game series.
Titled Incoming Codec, the short film made by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the director working on a Metal Gear live-action adaptation, sees David Hayter voicing the titular protagonist once again. Popping up in a codec screen, Snake talks about the monumental anniversary and celebrates Kojima’s vision that has informed a generation. Finishing up the tribute, the special operations soldier notes the present state of cinema before Revolver Ocelot enters to assure fans the upcoming film will preserve “everything you love about Metal Gear.”
