LeBron James's Nike "Equality" PE Kicks to be Enshrined in the Smithsonian
More history.
Shortly after LeBron James opened the I Promise school in Akron, Ohio, he’s shared some new history-making news. Today, the three-time NBA Champion announced that his Nike LeBron 15 “Equality” PE will be on display at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. James wore a mismatched pair on December 17 as the Cleveland Cavaliers went head-to-head against the Washington Wizards in D.C.
The announcement was made via video due to James having current engagements with his new educational establishment. In the reveal video, LeBron stated “On December 17, I chose to wear a pair of shoes, the LeBron 15 Equality, one black, one white,” said James. “I use this shoe as inspiration. I want you guys to use this shoe as inspiration, as a voice.”
The Nike LeBron 15 “Equality” PE will officially be on display at the Smithsonian this Fall. Take a look at the video above and let us know your thoughts. King James enthusiast can also take a look at the LeBron James x John Elliott Icon collection dropping this week.
