UK-based producer Floating Points has shared his beautifully-directed video for his brand new track “Silhouettes,” compiled from three separate tracks off his forthcoming album Elaenia. The video’s narrative follows beams of gleaming light through its journey in an unknown environment, bouncing off and following grooves on various surfaces. Directors Pablo Barquín and Junior Martínez explains the concept behind their work, “an oscillating stream of light attempts to intrude on an arid natural landscape, abstract light and a living environment merge, reacting to the dynamics of the music. The luminous abstract forms are produced by a light painting machine that, frame by frame, draws in a real environment the 3D animated figures.” Elanaeia is scheduled for release on November this year via Pluto.
