Despite impressive user initiatives and cheap prices, Apple Music is already appearing to show a decline in service longevity. According to a recent survey by Music Watch, 48% of Apple Music listeners have abandoned the streaming service after only six weeks since the launch date. The survey utilized data from 5,000 users aged 13 and older and found that 61% of users turned off the “renewal” option during the free trial but admitted they would likely pay for the service. While the streaming wars wage on, Apple has reminded the public that users are still actively engaged with all other music-related services the tech giant offers. They also responded to the survey directly by saying “among those who signed up for the trial, 79% are using it on a weekly basis.” Stay tuned as the battle for streaming supremacy rolls on.
