Nas Pays Tribute to Mobb Deep's Prodigy With "Shook Ones" Performance
Ain’t no such thing as halfway crooks.
The outpouring of support, love and admiration for Mobb Deep legend Prodigy continues. Following last week’s star-studded public memorial service, another hometown hero of Queens has delivered a powerful tribute to the NYC icon. Taking to a Netherlands stage, Nas performed a festival set with a special live rendition of the Mobb Deep classic “Shook Ones Part II.” Arguably one of the most recognizable records to come out of ’90s east coast rap, the gritty cut stands as one of the standout tracks on Mobb Deep’s seminal 1995 studio album, The Infamous. As fan footage shows, the Netherlands crowd was incredibly receptive to Nas’s cover.
