Kendrick Lamar's 'DAMN.' Goes Double Platinum in Just Three Months

After going platinum back in early May, Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. was recently officially awarded its double platinum status by The Recording Industry Association of America. Debuting at number one on the Billboard Top 200, selling 603,000 copies in its first week and becoming the highest-selling album of 2017 so far, the double platinum news is just the latest addition to the long list of accolades Lamar’s DAMN. has racked up. The double platinum certification means that Kung Fu Kenny’s latest album has now sold over two million units and is expected to build on the already impressive number. Expect Lamar to celebrate his latest certification during his upcoming ‘DAMN. Tour’ stops with tour mates Travis Scott and D.R.A.M..
