Jagwar Ma Announce New Album & Share "OB1" Video
Their sophomore LP is arriving this fall.
Australian outfit Jagwar Ma made huge waves back in 2013 with their breakout debut album Howlin’, and now the trio have announced their highly anticipated follow-up. Every Now & Then will arrive this fall via Mom + Pop, and our first glimpse of the album comes in the form of a video for the opening track, “OB1.” Produced by the band and mixed by DJ Ewan Pearson, the track also includes drumming from Warpaint‘s Stella Mozgawa. Lead vocalist and guitarist Gabriel Winterfield said that the song is about “moving through the motions of life under the influence of lost love, the fear of letting go of the past when not having anything set in place in the future to hold on to.” Jono Ma also revealed that “OB1” is “designed for nocturnal road trips and foraging through forests for morning fresh champignons.” The band have also unveiled a hefty set of international tour dates that kick off at Splendour In The Grass festival in Australia on July 24.
