Ferris Bueller's Modena GT Spyder California Is Being Auctioned Off
A chance to own the car from the classic ’80s film.

A pivotal scene in the classic film Ferris Bueller‘s Day Off is when Ferris lays his eyes on a rare 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California. What most people don’t know is that the movie studio actually used a replica created by Modena Design and Development — which has now become just as coveted as the original inspiration.
As 1 of 3 automobiles ever crafted in this design, Chassis No. 0003 retains its eye-catching steel-tube frame and red hue. It also includes a 5.0L V-8 engine with aluminum heads and roller rockers, along with Ferrari elements including the windshield, grill, vents and body. Neil Glassmoyer, a founder of Modena Design, took nine months to restore the vehicle, which comes with a certificate of authenticity from Modena Design, original VIN tags and some Ferris Bueller memorabilia. Head to Mecum Auctions to learn more and bid on the car.
