Since the week started, XXL has been unloading a new 2018 Freshman Class freestyle every day: Wifisfuneral began the run, YBN Nahmir followed it up with some heat and BlocBoy JB provided some bars for Wednesday. Now, continuing the streak, Trippie Redd steps in for his shot at the Freshman Class freestyle.

For a solid two minutes, Redd goes in and serves up a flurry of bars. Taking a straightforward, safer approach to his freestyle, the “How You Feel” superstar eschews his usual melodic and melancholic sound in favor of more traditional flows. For those who have been keeping track, Trippie Redd has showcased similar skills on songs like A Love Letter to You‘s “Can You Rap Like Me?”

You can check out Trippie Redd’s 2018 XXL Freshman Class freestyle above.

Earlier this month, Redd appeared on XXXTentacion, Ski Mask the Slump God and Quavo’s “Ghost Busters.”
