Maison Kitsuné Joins 'Toiletpaper' for Surreal, Genderless Collaboration
Boundary-pushing artwork meets French minimalism.
French casualwear imprint Maison Kitsuné reunites with Toiletpaper for a fusion of art and style. Kitsuné’s signature minimalism is on full display, with the brand offering a selection of black and white items to serve as a base for the lighthearted imagery. The magazine’s playful artwork takes center stage throughout the range, with dripping smiley faces and photographs of cats emblazoned on a host of understated tees, sweaters and caps. Co-branding comes in the form of Toiletpaper‘s preferred small red box, with both brands’ names juxtaposed vertically. Accessories come in the form of iPhone cases and tote bags, complete with paintings of brains sliced by spinning razors and close-ups of toothpaste being deposited into womens’ mouths.
Look for the 15-piece, genderless collection to launch at Maison Kitsuné’s New York flagship on June 16, before hitting the Maison Kitsuné web store later this month.
