iLoveMakonnen Freestyles Over Future, Addresses Rumors of Being Dropped & Claps Back at Haters
“Still dodging calls from Baby and JAY Z.”

iLoveMakonnen is currently in London for his headline appearance at Born & Bred 2016 in Haggerston Park, and he dropped into Tim Westwood’s studio for a quick interview and a freestyle session. Going in over Future’s “Where Ya At,” “I’m The Plug” and “Jumpman,” the Atlanta rapper addresses his weight loss, rumors of being dropped from OVO Sound, attention from big-name rappers and more. In his interview with Westwood, Makonnen delved into the influence of Guwop, how Mike WiLL Made-It brought him and Gucci Mane together, his mental health issues and more. Check out the freestyle and interview below.
Here’s a few key excerpts from the freestyle:
“God damn it, why the fuck should I keep flowing / ‘Cos this shit is too easy / Shouts out to Gucci Mane, and shouts out to Jeezy / You know my flow get lazy / Still dodging calls from Baby and JAY Z.”
“Damn, motherf*cker sayin’ I got dropped / Ha-ha, that’s some motherf*cking hip hop / Sh*t, you know that’s a motherf*cking lie / Only place I dropped down is in my pants size.”
The response to his freestyle was mixed on Twitter, so Makonnen jumped on to fire back at the haters:
Freestyle was trash. Lol y’all kids have the most jokes. Maybe I should’ve practiced and asks them to send beats how the other rappers do
