In continuation of New Balance‘s The Local series, skateboarder David Mackey –  while sporting the new 247 Tritium Pack — takes HYPEBEAST around his hometown of Liverpool. Though the city is generalized to be a haven for its football club enthusiasts, Mackey’s insight on the area reveals how the independent ethos of the skateboarding culture has established another facet of the city. With the inception of his skate shop, Lost Art, in the ’90s, the storefront has helped foster a community while a providing a home for like-minded individuals.

Transitioning from his board to the 247 Cool Gray 9 colorway — with Primary Pantone 380 C detailing – he brings together his own style cues with the sneaker’s. Walking around, with repose provided by the silhouette’s REVlite sole, Mackey surveyed the different narratives and experiences lived by denizens of Liverpool that inspire his brand.

Watch the Local video above and shop the Tritium Pack at retailers worldwide or on the official New Balance website for $90 USD.
