TIDAL Gained 1.2 Million Subscribers Thanks to Beyoncé
TIDAL’s exclusivity strategy is finally paying off.

TIDAL just revealed that Beyoncé’s new album Lemonade gained it 1.2 million subscribers. The album was released exclusively on the service on April 23, and led to 306 million global streams of Beyoncé songs. This shows that TIDAL’s strategy of offering exclusive releases is actually working. Earlier in the year, Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo also received 250 million streams in the first 10 days, reportedly doubling TIDAL’s subscriber numbers from 1 to 2.5 million.
While TIDAL seems to be doing a lot better than before, the streaming service still has a long way to go before being equal to competitors Apple Music and Spotify.
