After announcing their first live shows since way back in 2007, elusive Australian outfit The Avalanches have shared a mysterious documentary-style trailer on their Facebook page. Titled Since They Left Us in reference to their revered 2001 album Since I Left You, the video combines retro footage with input from past collaborators like Royal Trux’s Jennifer Herrema, Ariel Pink, Danny Brown and Father John Misty. It’s not clear what The Avalanches are exactly teasing here, but the phrase “coming soon…hopefully” at the end of the brief clip is enough to spark some kind of hope for new material from the band.
