Lykke Li's “Utopia” Video Is a Dedication to Mothers
“Utopia is all my mother ever wanted for me and all I ever want for him.”
Lykke Li has dropped a video for her song “utopia” – a dedication to Mothers released on Mother’s Day. The visual is directed by Clara Cullen and sees Li as a child with her mother and as her current self with her son. “MOTHER TO MOTHER TO MOTHER,” the artist writes in the description. “Utopia is all my mother ever wanted for me and all I ever want for him.”
The track will appear on her forthcoming album, so sad so sexy, which drops on June 8 via RCA. Other previously released records on the album include “deep end” and “hard rain.” The project will feature production from Malay, Rostam, Jeff Bhasker, T-Minus and more, and a guest verse from “Caroline” rapper Aminé.
