Size? & adidas Originals Drop Grey "Manchester Showers" I-5923 Colorway
Inspired by bleak Northern English weather.
Following on from the recent “Hawaiian Thunderstorm” take on the I-5923 sneaker, British retailer Size? has returned to the adidas Originals silhouette for a more understated colorway. Titled “Manchester Showers,” the sneaker references the stereotypically bleak weather of Northern England with three different tones of grey across the upper.
The I-5923 silhouette mixes new and old adidas Originals influences, with suede and neoprene textures used across the upper. Another vintage touch is the serrated three-stripe branding, which is taken from silhouettes such as the Samba and Gazelle and comes in a contrasting “Lightning Bolt Yellow.” This color also features across the heel and on the tongue branding.
