James Blake Covers Frank Ocean's "Godspeed"
A bare-bones new spin.

A month after collaborating with Mount Kimbie for “We Go Home Together,” James Blake has cooked up a special cover of Frank Ocean’s “Godspeed” record. Originally included as one of the closing tracks on Ocean‘s 2016 studio album Blonde, “Godspeed” received a bare-bones rework at James Blake’s most recent show. Performing at Arizona’s FORM Arcosanti, the British singer-songwriter produced a piano-propelled take on the track. Previously, artists such as Stormzy and dvsn delivered their own renditions of the Blonde standout.
You can check out footage of James Blake’s “Godspeed” cover below. In the past 24 hours, two new Frank Ocean tracks have surfaced: “Raf” is a collaboration with A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert and Quavo, while the other is an extended version of “Biking.”
