Drake Just Earned His Very First Billboard Hot 100 No. 1
History in the making.

Drake‘s “wins column” continues to overflow. As we reported yesterday, Drake’s current reigning single and most recent VIEWS single “One Dance” is receiving its own music video and was going toe-to-toe with Desiigner’s “Panda” for the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. While “One Dance” did earn Drake a few different No. 1 honors in non-U.S. markets, it was sitting at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 following the release of VIEWS. Following several different “firsts” for Drake and the usurping of an Adele record, Drake’s “One Dance” has given Drake his very first No. 1 record on the Hot 100. In the past, Drake has hit No. 2 on the same chart courtesy of “Hotline Bling” — another recent single & VIEWS bonus track — and his first major single as a solo artist, “Best I Ever Had.” Now we just have to see how long Drake’s “One Dance” can remain at No. 1.
