Beyonce & Drake Dominate Early 2017 Billboard Music Awards
Including the Top Hot 100 artist and Top Rap artist.

Even before the official show of the 2017 Billboard Music Awards started, Drake was awarded more awards than he can hold Sunday night, as the Toronto rapper was presented with 10 early trophies. Some of the categories Drizzy won include Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist and Top Streaming Songs Artist. These awards come after Drake was able to cash in on a whopping 1 billion streams on his latest project, More Life. Drake also claimed victory in the Top Rap Artist category, beating out J. Cole, Desiigner, Future and Rae Sremmurd.
Not to be outdone, Beyhive members can be proud of their queen, as Beyoncé was able to hold her own in the award category. The pop superstar was able to claim five awards for herself, including Top Female Artist and Top Touring Artist. In one of the more difficult categories, Beyoncé was honored with winning the Top R&B Artist award, beating out Bruno Mars, Frank Ocean, Rihanna and The Weeknd. Other award winners include Justin Timberlake winning two awards for his song “Can’t Stop the Feeling” and Tamela Mann for Top Gospel Album.
