He also reveals his thoughts on casinos, cigars and more.
In the midst of running the media gauntlet to promote his latest studio album All-Amerikkkan Bada$$, Joey Bada$$ sat down with Pitchfork for a new entry in the outlet’s “Over/Under” series. After revealing his favorite record of 2017 during an exchange with The Undefeated, the Pro Era rapper shares his opinions on subjects such as casinos, cigars, the tooth fairy, exotic pets, country music, and more. “My family listens to country and Western music — my mom, my grandma, they play it religiously” Joey reveals, explaining his appreciation for the “underrated” genre of country music. Always one to pay attention to lyrics, Joey Bada$$ remarks that country songs have “pretty dope messages” once you put in the time to genuinely pay attention to the music.
