Balenciaga Drops the Race Runner in A "Bred"-Like Color Scheme
In time for spring.

To say that Balenciaga has been blowing up the contemporary sneaker spot over the last little while is an understatement to say the least, with such models as the Triple S and Speed Trainer being snapped in lookbooks, runways and street corners the world over. For those unaware, the high-end label’s Race Runner silhouette has been turning heads in its own right with a new Bred-like colorway recently hitting the scene.
The streamlined runner features heavy uses of black found all throughout its upper and outsole, with bold injections of red landing on the rear midsole, collar and heel counter, while white adorns the midsole. A mixed-material composition, comprised of mesh, calfskin, leather, suede and neoprene swarms the base structure, while a decorative elastic band rests comfortably on the mid-foot area. Priced at $778 USD, you can find this Balenciaga Race Runner now at matchesfashion.com.
