'Tron' Meets 'Ex-Machina' in Eddie Alcazar's Upcoming Film 'Perfect'

First debuting at this year’s SXSW, the first trailer for sci-fi thriller Perfect has been released.
The upcoming film is directed by Eddie Alcazar and executively produced by Steven Soderbergh — who is also producing this year’s upcoming reboot Ocean’s 8. The dark plot revolves around a young boy who is coaxed into advertisements for highly advanced biological implants. The technology supports his struggle with violent, twisted visions but with it comes circumstances that may be beyond his control. The notion of perfection, therefore, is questioned.
Perfect, which co-stars Abbie Cornish (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) and Tao Okamoto (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) and features music by Flying Lotus, is now playing at SXSW with a wider release yet to be announced.
