Netflix Is Working on a New Formula One Documentary Series
With ‘Senna’ producer James Gay-Rees confirmed.
Netflix is set to strengthen its original sports content catalog with news of a new Formula One documentary series. With Senna‘s James Gay-Rees on-board to help executive produce, the new series will offer exclusive access to drivers, team leadership, as well as the league’s management structure.
As Amazon continues to beef up its own sports exclusive library, Netflix’s move into automotive racing, with its rival’s own show, The Grand Tour grabbing much attention in that category was all but inevitable. If all goes according to plan, the new Formula One docu-series is aiming for an early 2019 release.
