Migos Say Their Comments on Makonnen’s Sexuality Were Taken out of Context
“We all make great music. That’s it.”

Migos seemed to have questioned iLoveMakonnen‘s credibility in a recent Rolling Stone cover story, who came out as gay recently. The Atlanta trio immediately issued an apology, which reads: “We love all people, gay or straight and we apologize if we offended anyone.” In a brand new interview with TMZ, the topic was brought up again, and this time, the trio said that their words had been taken out of context. “The way [Rolling Stone] did it, that wasn’t real,” Quavo said. “We make great music together. I done made music with Makonnen, Frank Ocean. We all make great music. That’s it.”
In a recent interview with The FADER, Makonnen responded to the group’s comments: “[They said] some comments like, ‘world’s f*cked up,’” he shared. “My world, that I was living in, was f*cked up for me. I’ve seen a few [people online] trying to defend me against the Migos and all that sh*t. Guys, if you all know me, I’m always about ‘let’s keep some peace.’ It don’t even matter. Migos say whatever they said. It’s a misunderstanding.”
