Four Tet Debuts Madlib & Future Islands' Sam Herring's New Trouble Knows Me Song "Rings In The Coffee"

Whenever Four Tet is serving as a guest host or performer on any radio show, there’s always a good chance he’s going to liberate an unreleased gem. Following up his recent NTS Radio appearance, Four Tet sat in for Benji B over at BBC Radio 1 earlier in the week. As always, Four Tet’s entire time on air was worth your time and attention, but this new collaboration from Madlib and Future Islands‘ Sam Herring was definitely the highlight. While an unlikely candidate for hip-hop’s top-tier class of emcees, Sam Herring is actually a pretty talented lyricist, and this new song with past collaborator Madlib might be one of his best rap records yet. Dubbed “Rings In The Coffee,” the song serves as Madlib and Herring’s first release since teaming up for a 2015 joint project as Trouble Knows Me. You can stream the song below.
