Amir Obe Unveils Two-Part "The Only/V.I.P." Video
Two songs, one visual.
Last we heard from Amir Obe, he was cooking up a “drunken freestyle.” Today, he’s revisiting his 2015 project Happening In The Grey Area for an expansive new visual piece. Connecting together Happening In The Grey Area cuts “The Only” and “V.I.P.,” the Detroit up-and-comer serves up a two-part video featuring both the aforementioned tracks. The vignette is directed by Adrian Martinez, and came to FADER coupled with this breakdown:
“I wanted the audience to sense the vibe of the music, relating to the visual, rather than painting a more traditional narrative… The visuals incorporate a mashup of ‘The Only’ and ‘VIP,’ both songs which set a perfect contrast to one another both musically and visually.”
