With Kanye West preparing to dominate the year with yet another new project, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that he had to start somewhere just like everywhere else. Yesterday, a rare home video presented a Kanye West years away from fame — we’re not even talking the early stages of his career, either. The clip in question showcases Donda West-recorded footage of 12-year-old Kanye freestyling. While it’s not exactly the most high-quality recording, it does show Kanye’s enthusiasm for his craft at a young age. Check out the video above.
