Tinashe Covers Tom Tom Club's "Genius Of Love"
The theme song for Target’s latest ad campaign.
Tom Tom Club’s 1981 classic “Genius of Love” once had a cover by Mariah Carey and Ol’ Dirty Bastard in 1995 and has also been sampled by Grandmaster Flash, Public Enemy, Redman, Cam’ron and more. Now, Tinashe teamed up with DJ Cassidy and shares a new cover of the track. It is the theme for Target’s forthcoming Around Town spring ad campaign, which will probably give Tinashe some publicity for her soon-to-be-released sophomore album. Listen to the track below.
