Late last year, Nike unveiled plans for a new silhouette known as the Air Max 270. Notable for its robust, partially-translucent heel unit, the Air Max 270 has received a lineup that boasts minimal, clean colorways and over-the-top, bold designs. Accompanying that style is another new model known as the Air Force 270, which takes the same concept and brings it to another popular range from Nike. With the Air Max 270 collection already off to a strong start, its designers are setting their sights on the other sneaker with the arrival of one of its first significant colorways.
Known as the Air Force 270 “Safari,” Nike’s latest traces its lineage back to the 1987 Air Safari — a shoe brought to prominence by the legendary Tinker Hatfield. Boasting the familiar Air Max bag, this Air Force 270 is dressed in a “Safari” print and comes equipped with a buckled strap.
