After its sportswear-influenced Fall/Winter 2017 collection, New York-based label Adsum has looked to a group of Canadian artists for its Spring/Summer 2018 drop. The collection is inspired by the Group of Seven, a collective of Toronto explorers and artists from the early 20th century.

The contradiction between being outdoorsmen and artists is referenced in the eclectic mix of pieces, with button up shirts and smart cotton twill trousers sitting alongside technical pieces such as ripstop trousers and lightweight wind jackets that are perfect for the outdoor. Elsewhere, the Group of Seven’s unofficial leader — Lawren Harris — is referenced in a mountain top graphic that appears on hoodies and T-shirts. Take a look through the lookbook above, and head over to the Adsum web store to get your hands on the collection and to learn more about the Group of Seven.
