Wonders Drops a Number of SSENSE-Exclusive Hoodies
Paying homage to Canada and China.
Wonders has just teamed up with SSENSE for a number of hoodies and sweatpants for Fall/Winter 2018. Telling the story of founders Davidson Manaloto and Cameron Dunn, the hoodies depict famous cityscapes and iconography associated with the places that have influenced their visual language.
When asked about their connection with each city, the nomadic designers responded “Canada is, and will always be our home. The kindness and diversity of our country makes us proud every day. Hong Kong inspires us with its modernity mixed with traditional touches. Shanghai motivates us with its constant change and evolution.”
Main graphics include the gold-tone representation of Shanghai’s Bund waterfront area, Hong Kong’s famous Victoria Harbour (complete with Song-dynasty junk boat), and finally, a colorful print of Canada’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Each piece features extra-thick construction, oversized cutting, webbing pull-loops that run up the sleeves, and ribbed cuffs and hem.
