It looks like J. Cole is looking to close out 2016 on top of the rap game. His fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Only, has officially snagged the no. 1 spot in the country on the Billboard 200 Album Charts. This will be the fourth no. 1 album of his career, and the third largest sales debut of 2016 following Beyonce’s Lemonade and Drake’s VIEWS. The project moved 492,000 equivalent album copies on its first week, and of those units sold, 363,000 copies were from physical album sales. 4 Your Eyez Only is also on course to break records on the steaming side, too. Just last week, the album hit 51.7 million streams, which is also the second-largest streaming debut ever for an album (trailing behind Drake’s VIEWS). Congratulations to J. Cole!
