eL Seed To Bring Intricate Calligraphy Works To First UK Solo Exhibit
New adaptations of the ancient script.
French-Tunisian street artist eL Seed is long-lauded for his unique spin on traditional Arabic calligraphy that is observed on paintings, murals, and site-specific installations. Injecting a wildstyle aesthetic to the compositions, the artist exaggerates the winding lines of his script to decrease legibility and heighten mystery of the visual as a whole. Now, the artist is set to launch his first-ever show in the United Kingdom. Entitled “Tabula Rasa,” the forthcoming presentation will feature a diverse range of acrylic on canvas paintings at London’s Lazinc Gallery.
“eL Seed’s art reacts to the reality of mankind and the world we live, building bridges between people, cultures, and generations,” said the gallery in a statement. The show will officially run through January 25, 2019 until March 9, 2019. Head over to Lazinc’s website to learn more.
