Pyer Moss Wins 2018 CFDA/'Vogue' Fashion Fund, Bode Named Runner-Up
Designer Kerby Jean-Raymond is awarded the honor.
Kerby Jean-Raymond‘s Pyer Moss has been announced as the winner of the 2018 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, with Bode taking home the runner-up prize alongside womenswear designer Jonathan Cohen. In addition to the titles, the first and second place winners were awarded a $400,000 USD and $150,000 USD cash prize, respectively.
Pyer Moss was commended for its collections celebrating black culture in America while Bode’s menswear was lauded for its sustainable approach to textiles and craftsmanship. “At a time when our world faces so many challenges, I’m impressed by the winners,” announced Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour. “Their work highlights a high degree of creativity and a deep-rooted commitment to the notion of community. They’re not only a credit to the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund as it celebrates its 15th anniversary, but also to the optimism and inclusivity of the very best American fashion.”
