GOAT's 2018 Black Friday Event: $10,000 USD Credit, Retail Priced Rare Shoes & Free Kicks

Digital sneaker marketplace GOAT will be holding its highly-anticipated Black Friday event once again. Last year, 2017, GOAT offered up to $10,000 USD of purchasing credit and chances through raffles to buy coveted pairs like the  Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG and YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Semi Frozen Yellow” at retail price. This year, the company will be sweetening the pot a bit in addition to making the occasion a bit more fun using AR (Augmented Reality).

In addition to the credit prize and rare sneakers at retail price raffle, the renowned footwear commerce app will also offer chances to win free sneakers which include the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Shattered Backboard,” KAWS x Air Jordan 4 Retro Black, Pharrell x BBC x NMD Human Race Trail “Heart/Mind” and more. Exclusive, sneaker packs curated by renowned musicians and celebrities will also be offered.

Winning these prizes are quite simple if you already have the GOAT App. All participants begin with 100 tickets. The more tickets you have, the better your chances are at winning. In order to get more tickets, GOAT has included fun location-specific activations using AR & AR 3D objects which was developed by Apple’s ARKit. All users have to do is share these discovered AR objects to social media to obtain more tickets.

Locations you can explore to find AR objects and share for more tickets include Flight Club NY and LA, “Sneaker Street” in Hong Kong, the iPhone debut at Moscone Center in San Francisco, coordinates of the oldest known leather shoe (5,500 years old) in Armenia, NOWHERE in Tokyo, Sneaker Freaker HQ in Australia, Muhammad Ali’s historic victory over George Foreman in Democratic Republic of Congo, and more. There will also be an interactive map available to all that feature these 125 points of interest for sneakerheads — they will encompass themes related to sneaker history, sports as well as technology. The 3D objects participants can find will either be the “Greatest of All Time” spinning text graphic, a newspaper and more. Users should turn on notifications on their GOAT app to get hints to increase chances of discovery.

Those who want in on GOAT’s Black Friday event can enter the drawing between November 9 until November 22. Winners will receive an email and push notification on Friday, November 23 at 12 PM PT. Just make sure you have the GOAT app downloaded for either iPhone or Android.
