Chance the Rapper Is Working on His Official Debut Album
He revealed the news in his latest interview.
Chance the Rapper opens up about new music, Kanye West, Donald Trump and more in a newly-released, extensive interview with DJ Semtex. Sitting down with Semtex for the veteran personality and DJ’s BBC Radio 1 program, Chance revealed that he’s currently working on his “official debut album” during studio time. Specifically, the Coloring Book rapper tells Semtex:
“I think what I’m working on now is an album. But I think it’s also in two parts. I think when I’m making music usually, I’m writing it because I want you to listen to it in the car but I’m also thinking about the day we finally meet and I get to play it for you in front of a bunch of people and we get to sing along. So in part, yeah I want to make an album. My mixtapes have been confused for albums for a long time, so it has to be something different. Something that you could consider an album … it might not be physical, it might not be a disc or something, but an album that comes with its own live show.”
Considering his recent success, it looks like it’s about time for Chance to drop a proper LP. You can check out Chance the Rapper’s entire interview with DJ Semtex and BBC Radio 1 above. Earlier this week, Chance the Rapper delivered a remix of Drake’s “Feel No Ways.”
