Chance the Rapper Led a Throng of Young Chicago Voters to the Polls
“Show the younger generation what standing up looks like.”
On Monday night, Chance the Rapper threw a free concert for thousands upon thousands of attendees at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois. The generous occasion was to help encourage young American voters to mark their ballots blue. Following his performance alongside Twin Peaks and other musical guests, Lil Chano took it a step further by leading a parade of approximately 350,000 Chicagoans to the polls. Undoubtedly, it was a huge success.
Last Friday, Chance was one of the A-list performers at Hillary Clinton’s Cleveland rally—also including Beyonce, Jay Z and J. Cole who wanted to raise support for the Democratic presidential nominee. “Show the younger generation what standing up looks like,” the Chatham native told his fans. “Thank you to all the people who want to be a part of how democracy works and want to make their voices heard.”
